Amotekun arrests man for stealing in Osun church

Operatives of Osun Amotekun Corps have arrested a man, Temitope Olojede, 41, for stealing items in church at Ogo-Oluwa, Osogbo.

He was arrested by operatives of the security agency after robbing a church at Ogo-Oluwa, Osogbo

It was gathered that Amotekun operatives swung into action after receiving a distress call from some inhabitants of the area.

Confirming the incident to journalists on in Osogbo, the Osun Amotekun Corps Commander, Brig. Gen. Bashir Adewinmbi, clarified the arrested felon as a famous culprit who has been terrifying the residents of Ogo-Oluwa Area, Osogbo

He said his men received a distress call from one of the residents of Ogo-Oluwa that a church was burgled and they needed the attention of the operatives urgently to arrest the felon

He disclosed that his men swung into action immediately and arrested the suspect while trying to escape from the scene

Amotekun boss hinted that during interrogation, the suspect confessed to the crime and that he has been in such habit for a very long time

He added that the suspect also revealed in his confession that he has been stealing in the environ for a long time.

He, however, said the suspect has been transferred to the police for investigation, interrogation and prosecution.
