Oyetola tackles Adeleke on 12,000 workers’ claim

The immediate past Governor of Osun State, Adegboyega Oyetola, has described the claim by the Osun Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, that his administration employed 12,000 workers as not only false, but unfounded.

Oyetola’s spokesperson, Ismail Omipidan made this assertion on Monday, while reacting to the Executive Order signed by the newly sworn-in governor, sacking 12,000 workers claimed to have been employed by the previous government, after Adeleke had won the July 2022 gubernatorial election.

While challenging the Government to publish the list of the purported 12,000 workers, Oyetola asked: “What is the entire workforce of the State?”

In the statement released by Omipidan, he reminded the government that “Once a lie is told, you need a one and thousand lies to cover it up. In no distant future, the people of Osun will know who the real liars are.
